Highpoint Center for Printmaking is dedicated to advancing the art of printmaking.

We create pathways for artists, learners, and the public to increase their understanding and appreciation of printmaking through artistic and educational programs, a cooperative studio, a public gallery, and collaborative publishing opportunities.

ELIGIBILITY: Open to all current Highpoint co-op members 

WORK REQUIREMENTS: 

· Only two-dimensional framed works are acceptable

· All work must include at least one form of traditional printmaking such as relief, intaglio, lithography, screenprinting, monotype, monoprint, etc.) 

· Digital output alone is not acceptable

· Digital means can be used in your process and digital/photographic matrices are acceptable (screenprint, polymergravure, photolithography, laser cut relief, etc.). 

· No photographs or reproductions of work done in other media will be accepted

· Artwork must be framed and may not exceed 36 inches in any dimension

 

TO APPLY:

· You will need a hi-res image of the artwork you are submitting

o 300 dpi by 1900 pixels on the longest side, jpeg or tiff

· Complete your application on Submittable here

 

***Please note that LAPS may not be able to show all work submitted. Space is limited. This is why the show is technically being juried.  

 

 

SUBMISSION FEE: None! LAPS will provide each participating artist a $20 stipend to help offset the cost of shipping.

 

FRAMING: 

Art must be professionally framed with acrylic/plexiglas (no glass!) and ready to install. No plastic frames or clips! Print installation or objects are not eligible for this exhibition. 

SHIPPING/DELIVERY:  

· All accepted artwork must be shipped to

· Accepted needs to arrive by August 1, 2026

· Accepted work must be shipped in a sturdy, reusable shipping container 

· Accepted work must include a paid return shipping label. 

INSURANCE AND LIABILITY: 

Work is insured while at the Quad Art Gallery. Artist is responsible for the artwork while in transit. The Quad Art Gallery and LAPS are not liable for any damages to artwork at any time in transit, during the exhibition and pickup or shipment back to artist. Artists are the insurers of record for the show. 

SALES:  

Sales are encouraged. The Quad Art Gallery takes no commission on artwork sold. and LAPS will retain 40% to cover costs. Artists will receive 60%. Sale price on entry form must include commission and cannot be changed after acceptance. All artwork will remain in the exhibition through December 4, 2026

PROMOTION:

Submission to this exhibition constitutes an agreement on the part of the entrant to listed conditions and the use of images for publicity purposes by the Quad Art Gallery and the Los Angeles Printmaking Society. The exhibition will be posted on social media and on the website and wherever possible artist members will receive credit for artwork. We encourage our members to share the exhibition on their social media as well.
